YOUR FIRST STEP, MADE CLEARER
Start with a foundation. Build from there.
Moon’s Level 3 Access to Aesthetics course is designed for beginners. No prior experience is needed for this course. Our team can talk through your goals and check the right starting point before you book.
What does “beginner” mean in aesthetics training?
You might be changing careers, returning to learning or taking your first step into beauty. Being a beginner does not mean you need to choose the shortest course. It means you need time to understand the foundations, practise with supervision and demonstrate the skills covered by your course.
Different treatments and courses have different entry requirements. A foundation route is different from an advanced treatment course. Tell the academy what you already know, any qualifications you hold and what you hope to offer in the future.
What will you learn first at Moon?
Our Level 3 Access to Aesthetics course covers clinic health and safety, client consultation and care, skin analysis and facial treatments, anatomy and physiology, and electrical science. These topics help you understand the client and the treatment environment before moving into more specialised study.
The published programme combines online learning with in-clinic practical training over a planned 12 weeks. Completion within that timeframe depends on coursework, assessments and practical attendance. Ask the team to explain the weekly workload so you can plan study time around work or family.
Do you go straight into advanced treatments?
Your next course depends on your foundation and the treatment you want to learn. Our Level 3 versus Level 4 comparison explains how Moon’s foundation course differs from its skin rejuvenation course.
Completing a foundation course does not mean every advanced procedure is covered. Check the exact content and entry requirements for each next step, and confirm with your intended insurer that your proposed training and qualifications are accepted for the treatments you plan to offer.
If your question is specifically about coming from a non-nursing background, read our guide to aesthetics training without being a nurse.
How do you check a qualification?
Ask for the exact qualification title, awarding organisation and assessment details. A qualification level tells you its level in the framework; it does not describe all of its subject content. The GOV.UK qualification levels guide explains the framework. You can also look up regulated qualifications on the Ofqual register.
Keep your course outcome clear: a regulated qualification, a CPD certificate and an academy certificate are different things. Our course-selection checklist gives you practical questions to ask when comparing providers.
Where will you complete your practical training?
Moon has academies in Romford and Leigh-on-Sea. Confirm the location and availability for your chosen course with the sales team. Practical dates are arranged with the team as you progress through learning.
After booking, our team will contact you within 24 hours with your theory access and to discuss practical arrangements. Theory access is currently sent manually.
What should you budget for your first course?
Moon’s Level 3 course has a full price of £2,999. Its £500 booking deposit leaves £2,499 to pay. Check the agreed payment schedule and booking terms before committing. Our course costs and deposits guide explains how to compare the total commitment.
